Power

Q. I bought the Momento™ frame, but how do I turn on the power?

Double-check the power supply is plugged into the power jack, and not the audio jack. If the frame does not power on immediately, push the power button located on the frame just above the audio jack.

Q. How do I set power savings?

Press MENU on your Momento remote, then select Momento Settings->Frame->Power.

Picture Source/Orientation

Q. How do I change the picture source?

Press MENU on your Momento remote then use the left and right arrows to select photos.

Q. How do I change the transition?

Press MENU on your Momento remote, then select Momento Settings->Slideshow. The transition speed, type, and how the picture is displayed can be set to your preference.

Q. How do I view a single picture?

Press Play/Pause on your Momento remote when the picture is being displayed in the slideshow.

Q. How do I view pictures from a memory card?

Insert a memory card into the memory card slot on the top of your Momento frame. The slideshow will automatically switch to display pictures from the card. To browse pictures on your memory card, press MENU then use the left or right arrow to highlight the memory card icon.

Q. How do I use Momento in portrait mode?

Press Menu on the remote, and then select Momento Settings->Frame->Orientation->Portrait. Turn off your frame, remove the stand, and reattach the stand to the portrait stand attach hole. Finally, place your frame on a flat surface then turn your frame on.

Q. Why are there no transitions in portrait orientation?

Transitions are disabled in portrait mode, and cannot be changed in the settings menu.

Q. Why are pictures on my memory card slow to appear?

The more pictures held on a memory card, the longer it will take to load. However, after the initial wait time for the first picture to load, pictures on your memory card will appear normally.

Q. What types of memory cards does Momento support?

Momento supports SD, MMC, SmartMedia, xD and Memory Stick.

Q. What types of USB does Momento support?

Momento supports USB drives. Momento does not support direct USB cable connections to a PC, camera phone or other peripheral. 

Activation/Registration

Q. Where do I find my activation/registration code?

Press MENU on your remote, then select Momento Settings->Live Services

Remote Control

Q. How do I associate a remote with my Momento?

To associate a remote control to a specific Momento frame:

  1. Push the On/Off button on the Momento frame if it is currently powered on.
  2. Press Mode + Play/Pause on your Momento remote for three seconds then release.
  3. Push the On/Off button on the Momento frame to power it on.
  4. Press Play/Pause on your Momento remote until the main menu appears.

Q. What do I do if I lose my remote?

If you lose your remote please send an email to MomentoSupport@imate.com.

Connections

Q. How do I change the wireless network I am connected to?

To connect to a different wireless network:

  1. Press MENU on your Momento remote, and then select Momento Settings->Wireless Network->Find networks. A list of available networks will be displayed.
  2. Select the network you wish to connect to.
  3. If the network is secure, you will be prompted to enter a key.

Q. How do I change the computer I am connected to?

To connect to a different computer:

  1. Press MENU on your Momento remote, and then select Momento Settings->Computer. A list of available computers will be displayed.
  2. Select the computer you wish to connect to.

Volume, Language, Date & Time

Q. How do I turn the sound on/off?

Press MENU on your remote, then select Momento Settings->Frame->Sound

Q. How do I adjust the volume?

Press MENU on your remote, then select Momento Settings->Frame->Sound->Volume

Q. How do I change the language?

Press MENU on your remote, then select Momento Settings->Frame->Language.

Q. How do I change the date and time?

Press Menu on your remote, then select Momento Settings->Frame->Date and Time.

Q. How can I turn on the clock and/or calendar?

Press Mode on your remote, then place a checkmark next to time and/or date and then select OK.

Organizing Pictures

Q. What is a Favorite?

A. You can store pictures on your Momento by making a picture a favorite. Pictures from any source (USB Flash Drive, Windows Media Player, Momento Live or memory cards) can be made favorites.

Q. What is a tag?

A. A tag is a feature of Windows Vista™ and works like a keyword. You can attach tags to your pictures in Windows Photo Gallery, allowing you to organize and view your pictures based on a specific word or phrase. For information on using Tags, on your computer running Windows Vista™ select Start->Help and Support and search for Tags.

Connecting With Other Frames

Q. How do I send a picture to another person?s frame?

To send a picture to a Momento, you must have a Momento Live user account, which will activate your frame. If you are the owner of the Momento, you can register your frame at www.momentolive.com with the activation code found on your frame under Momento Settings->Live Services.

Restore/Reboot Frame

Q. How do I restore the device to factory defaults?

Press MENU on your Momento remote, then select Momento Settings->Frame->Restore to factory defaults.

Q. How do I reboot my frame?

Press the On/Off button located on the side of your Momento just above the audio jack.
